The Republican Party of Maine is sending out mailers warning that Democratic state Senate candidate Colleen Lachowicz is a high-level Orc Assassin.

The mailers highlight Lachowicz’s online comments regarding her character in the massive online multiplayer game World of Warcraft, claiming she gets away with “crude, vicious and violent comments” in her online fantasy world. The Maine GOP also created a website, colleensworld.com, which showcases many of her comments about the popular role-playing game.

“So I’m a level 68 orc rogue girl. That means I stab things… a lot. Who would have thought that a peace-lovin’, social worker and democrat would enjoy that,” Lachowicz is quoted as saying in one of the GOP mailers. In another GOP mailer, Lachowicz says that she loves “poisoning and stabbing.”

Lachowicz, who is running against Republican state Sen. Thomas Martin, responded by mocking the mailers.

“I think it’s weird that I’m being targeted for playing online games,” she said in a statement. “Apparently I’m in good company since there are 183 million other Americans who also enjoy online games. What’s next? Will I be ostracized for playing Angry Birds or Words with Friends? If so, guilty as charged!”

World of Warcraft had approximately 9.1 million subscribers in June.
