A man in Rock Hill, South Carolina earned himself an extra six months behind bars earlier this week because he punched his own attorney after being given a 15-year sentence.

Lamarcus Williamson was in handcuffs on Tuesday when the judge accepted his plea deal for robbery, drug and assault charges, but that didn’t stop him from assaulting public defender Dan Hall.

Video of the incident was captured by cameras at the Moss Justice Center.

“I was shocked, I didn’t see it coming. I hit the floor,” Hall told WSOC, adding, “I’m not a good boxer.”

The attorney escaped serious injury, suffering only a loose tooth and sore jaw.
