Fox News inadvertently aired a middle finger salute during their pre-debate coverage when an unidentified man with press credentials crept into the network’s shot and flipped a subtle middle finger to the camera.

While host Shepard Smith interviewed Obama surrogate General Wesley Clark at Lynn University prior to Monday’s final presidential debate, the mystery man crept into the frame, directly behind Clark. Oblivious  to what was going on behind him, Clark continued to talk as the man turned toward the camera, pretended to scratch his beard, and then threw up a middle finger.

The network, apparently catching on, quickly cut away to a wider shot of Smith and Clark, sans middle fingers.
