A Florida man avoided indecent exposure charges by exposing himself to police, TC Palm reported Wednesday.

Police said the 34-year-old man was picked up in a plaza in Port St. Lucie, Florida, Oct. 16 after a woman said she saw him in a vehicle “making an up and down motion in the area of his crotch.” She said she did not see his genitals but, thinking he was masturbating in public, followed him around the parking lot before calling authorities.

After being pulled over, the suspect told police he “got the urge” to scratch himself in the plaza because of a rash on his testicles, then tried to leave after discovering the woman was looking at him.

With the officer’s permission, the man then showed the officer his testicles as proof. Police said that, since the woman had said she did not see his genitalia out in the open and the man had no criminal record, he was released without charges being pressed.
