Fox’s The Simpsons continued its 2012 election-themed humor on Thursday, releasing video of Mr. Burns endorsement of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

The heartless billionaire insisted Romney was on track to win the presidential election despite the recently “unimaginably horrible good jobs numbers” that have been released by the Department of Labor.

Mr. Burns said that not even the 47 percent tape, Clint Eastwood’s empty chair speech, offshore tax havens, alleged bullying, and undisclosed tax returns could prevent Romney from acquiring the presidency — but the GOP candidate’s dog Seamus could be devastating.

Romney strapped Seamus to the roof of their car during a family trip in 1983, which has upset some dog lovers.

So Mr. Burns personally interviewed Seamus himself to prove Romney was still a “Mormon mensch.”
