Pat Robertson’s female co-host was temporarily speechless on Thursday after the conservative televangelist asked her what it was about pornography that turned her on.

“Christie, the last time I heard, you were a woman,” Robertson asked 700 Club co-host Kristi Watts. “You are a mother and you are a sweet Christian girl — lady. Do you see anything in porn that attracts you?”

“No, Pat,” Watts replied. “These questions you ask me, I’m like, really?”

“I’m trying to get your attitude,” Robertson pressed.

“No, that is not an issue for me, thank you very much,” Watts insisted.

“Well, it’s boring,” Robertson agreed.

“Well, for some people…,” Watts began before realizing that futility of trying to justify pornography to the TV preacher.

“The thing that shocks me, we always thought this was a male thing, a boy thing, a guy thing,” Robertson explained, pointing out that many women enjoyed “mommy porn” like the erotic bestseller “Fifty Shades of Grey” by the “little house wifey-type” author E. L. James.

The Christian Broadcast Network founder said he was shocked to learn that 30 percent of porn users were women “and they’re getting addicted to it.”

“It is an addiction that is worse than cocaine and heroin,” Robertson warned. “You have to make a covenant with your eyes, you’re not going to watch this stuff. If you’ve got these channels on your TV, you’ve got to cancel them because that stuff will come on. And regular movie channels, next thing you know it’s 11 o’clock, 12 o’clock at night and they start showing this stuff.”

He concluded by offering a prayer for viewers who wanted to “free” from porn: “Lord, in Jesus name, I come to you and I confess to you that my desires have been stimulated by pornography. You know what I’m made of. You made me a sexual being. But, Lord, I have been over the edge and I need help.”
