An earthquake that hit central Myanmar has left multiple people dead, reported Reuters.

At least 12 may have died in the 6.8 magnitude earthquake, the Associated Press reported.

The epicenter struck 37 miles north of Mandalay, the country’s second-largest city.

President Obama will be the first U.S. leader to visit the country when he visits later this month.
