House minority leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she will remain at her position for at least two more years, The Washington Post reported Wednesday.

Pelosi reportedly told Democratic colleagues of her decision early Wednesday morning, ending post-election speculation even among her own staff members; some aides said they were not sure what Pelosi’s future plans were as recently as Tuesday night.

Technically, Pelosi must run for re-election to her post, but that decision is academic, party colleagues said.
