A zebra and Shetland pony stunned onlookers Wednesday morning as they trotted down a boulevard in New York’s Staten Island.

Their confusion was amplified after two men in black suits carrying lassos chased down the 14-year-old pony and 4-month-old zebra.

“Is this actually happening to me, am I finally losing my mind,” Zachary Osher, who captured video of the escaped zebra and pony, told NBC 4 New York. “This is a zebra on Staten Island. On the street!”

The animals escaped from their pen after their owner, Giovanni Schirripa, tried to feed them. He bought the animals for a petting zoo he operates at Oktoberfest.
