The latest installment of a PBS Digital Studios project has put a musical spin on Reading Rainbow host and executive producer LeVar Burton’s efforts to get kids to pick up more books during the show’s 23-year run.

“In Your Imagination,” by John D. Boswell, aka melodysheep, is the fourth “auto-tune” style interpretation of a public television show. As NPR reported Tuesday, it follows similar remixes for Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood), Bob Ross (The Joy Of Painting) and Julia Child, host of her eponymous cooking series.

Burton hosted all 155 episodes of Reading Rainbow from 1983 to 2009, and relaunched the show earlier this year as a downloadable app.

Watch Burton talk about reading in “auto-tune,” posted on YouTube Monday by PBS Digital Studios, below.
