Baby panda gets last weekly medical exam of 2012
Xiao Liwu, the San Diego Zoo’s 5-month-old giant panda cub had his 19th medical exam this week. The weekly exams measure and weigh the cub and check over physical and neurological function to screen for abnormalities.
The cub was born on July 29 of this year and is reportedly healthy and normal. Zookeepers say he is becoming more active and curious as he grows.
