Police in Tulsa, Oklahoma said four women had been found shot to death in an apartment on Monday, according to local media reports.

A 4-year-old child was also found in the apartment with no injuries. The child has been taken into protective custody. Police said it was unclear if the child was related to one of the victims.

“It is very uncommon to have four people murdered in the city of Tulsa at one time in one location,” Officer Leland Ashley told Fox23 News. “We’re basically pulling out all the stops to get this individual or individuals in custody for these homicides.”

Tulsa Police received a 911 call around noon that stated the four women had been shot. Ashley said someone had spoken to one of the victims less than a hour before the four women were found dead.

Police currently have no leads in the case.

“We’re hoping someone comes forward, we’ve got a lot of questions that need to be answered,” Ashley said. “Our concern is for the small child, possibly having to witness this horrific tragedy.”
