On his show Thursday night, The Daily Show host Jon Stewart slammed President Barack Obama for continuing to stonewall about drone strikes.

At his latest State of Union address, Obama vowed to be “even more transparent to the American people” about drone strikes and their legal justification.

But the President has refused to release documents regarding the drones, despite threats from Democrats that his CIA nominee could be blocked.

“What? But remember the State of the Union with the promise of transparency on the drones?” Stewart remarked. “State of the Union speech promises are supposed to be slightly more durable than New Year’s resolutions. I mean, it’s been ten days.”
