Italian authorities have identified horsemeat in tests on six tonnes of mincemeat and 2,400 packages labelled as lasagne bolognese seized from a company near Bologna, the ANSA news agency reported Saturday.

This is the first positive test since the scandal broke and comes after Italian authorities earlier said they had found no traces of horsemeat in batches seized from Swiss food giant Nestle.
