Secretary of State John Kerry told CNN on Tuesday that he’s not exactly a fan of former Chicago Bulls player Dennis Rodman serving the U.S. in a diplomatic capacity when asked about the former Chicago Bulls player’s recent visit to North Korea.
“I have great respect for Dennis Rodman as a basketball player,” Kerry reportedly told CNN’s Jill Dougherty, reporting from Doha. “As a diplomat, he was a great basketball player.”
Rodman visited the country last week along with the Harlem Globetrotters. “[Dictator Kim Jong Un is] a good guy to me,” Rodman later told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. “Guess what, he’s my friend. Guess what, I don’t condone what he does, but as far as a person to person, he’s my friend.”
