School bus with 25 children turns over in crash on Illinois highway

A school bus containing approximately 25 children turned over Friday morning on an Illinois highway in the unincorporated Newport Township during a crash with two other vehicles. The driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident has been killed, according to Fox 32 Chicago.

The Newport principal reported that all children survived and sustained only minor injuries. A Jeep and an SUV were also reportedly involved in the accident.

The local Fox station reported that authorities sent more than 15 ambulances to the scene of the accident and a medical helicopter was waiting nearby.
