A gunman was shot and killed on Wednesday afternoon after holding four fire fighters hostage in Suwanee, Georgia, about 35 miles from Atlanta.

A SWAT team responded to the incident and raided the man’s home after he refused to release the captives.

The fire fighters suffered minor injuries and one officer was shot in the hand.

The man was demanding to have his power and cable turned back on. He had been living in a foreclosed house.

Five fire fighters arrived at the house after responded to a medical call. The gunman released one fire fighter to move the fire truck from in front of the house.
