Take heart, residents of Edité-Frignim (or, as it’s more popularly known, “Earth”): if you’ve been itching to build your own Replicant but repli-can’t scrounge up the credits, a new video by comedians Robert Popper and Peter Serafinowicz walks you through those last few steps in putting together your own reasonable human facsimile.

Narrated by kindly “Whitby-494,” the fourth module of “Building A Human” shows you how far the process has come — thanks, of course, to Arpoovian Shebber-Shenty, “life giver of the universe.”

The video shows the replicas being put together in a facility in England, before being infused (so to speak) with their life force, as the rear end is attached to the torso, the hair is prepared, and urine is added to the bladder. It also covers what to do in case of defects — like not carrying out orders or wanting to marry a human.

“Don’t worry, replicas can’t feel any emotions,” Whitby advises. “Except pain, and love.”

Popper and Serafinowicz are perhaps best known as the creators of the British cult comedy Look Around You, a mocking take on school instructional videos. Serafinowicz is also remembered in Star Wars fan circles as the voice of Sith Lord Darth Maul.

Watch the duo’s dystopia-friendly video, posted by Serafinowicz on Thursday, below.
