Ramon Rodriguez of Brooklyn was arrested Wednesday after allegedly selling a kilo of cocaine to undercover officers for $27,500 while on a delivery run for his employer, Papa John’s.

CNN reports that officers say that Rodriguez sold them $40,000 worth of cocaine over the course of the investigation, some of which was hidden in pizza boxes. The New York Daily News reports that Rodriguez allegedly made 21 separate sales to officers since they began their undercover investigation of him in the fall of 2011, almost a year and a half ago. He reportedly often complained about having to interrupt his pizza deliveries to bring the undercover officers drugs, though in the most recent sale, he is said to have brought officers a pizza and an order of chicken nuggets with the kilo of cocaine.

NBC New York reports that officers found an additional $4,500 dollars and drug paraphernalia in Rodriguez’s apartment and more drugs in his car after his arrest. New York Daily News reporters Thomas Tracy and Kerry Burke, who interviewed Rodriguez’s co-workers at Papa John’s, report that the other drivers were shocked at the arrest. The manager, Mohammed Ali, told the reporters “He used to hit us for money for food and gas. We were always giving him $20 to $30 at a time.”
