The fast food restaurant chain Chick-fil-A recently continued its fight against equal marriage rights for same sex couples by donating to a so-called “Biblical Marriage” event in Ohio that only sought “to honor every visiting husband and wife.”

A Reddit user on Sunday posted a photo of an advertisement from a Dayton newspaper for a May 19 event at Cornerstone Baptist Church. The ad shows a pair of wedding rings with the words “male” and “female.”

The ad also features the Chick-fil-A “C” logo and the Chick-fil-A “Eat Mor Chickin” cow logo.

“We have been given a donation to provide a $25 Chick-fil-A gift card to honor every visiting husband and wife,” the ad says.

Chick-fil-A founder Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press last year that the restaurant chain was “guilty as charged” of working to prevent same sex marriage.

“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit,” Cathy told WXIA’s Matt Pearl last October. “We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.”

“We support biblical families, and they’ve always been a part of that.”
