The father of Chechnyan national Ibragim Todashev claims that FBI agents wrongfully killed his son “execution-style.”

The Associated Press reported that Abdul-Baki Todashev held a press conference in Moscow on Thursday to speak out against the killing of his son last week. He said it was physically impossible for his son to have been involved in the Boston Marathon bombings because of a sports injury.

“These just aren’t FBI agents, they’re bandits,” Todashev said.

FBI agents shot and killed Ibragim Todashev on May 22 in Orlando. The federal agents were questioning Todashev about his connections to deceased Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev. The FBI said Todashev confessed that he and Tsarnaev had murdered three people in Massachusetts during a drug deal.

But “something went wrong” during questioning. Todashev allegedly flipped over a table and waved a sword before being shot dead.
