Stephen Colbert began his show Tuesday with a highlight montage in honor of “conservative giant” Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), who announced on May 29 that she will not seek re-election.

“There you have it. No fifth term. A political career over in the blink of an eye,” Colbert said after playing a clip of her retirement video. “Which, for Michele Bachmann, is once every 8 years.”

Colbert also applauded Bachmann, who he said represented her state’s “Valley of the Dolls,” for her vow to keep working against what she described as “what most in the other party want to do to transform our country into becoming.”

“Yes,” he concurred. “We must fight those most, before our country is transformed into becoming. Stupid most.”

Colbert then unveiled a video tribute to Bachmann’s “very” moments, which can be seen below.
