A 49-year-old Florida man was arrested this week after he allegedly stabbed his brother during a fight over macaroni and cheese — and some spilled beer.

According to WKMG, a witness told Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies that Randy Zipperer became angry on Tuesday when he could not find his macaroni and cheese. While helping to look for the lost pasta, Zipperer’s 47-year-old brother accidentally knocked over a beer, the witness said.

Deputies believe that the two men argued before Zipperer retrieved a 6-inch knife from the kitchen and stabbed his brother in the stomach.

“I poked him a little with the knife but I didn’t mean to,” Zipperer told police, the arrest report said.

Zipperer was charged with aggravated battery and obstructing an officer without violence. Volusia County Corrections indicated that he remained in custody as of Friday afternoon.
