An inbound flight landing at New Jersey’s Newark-Liberty International Airport was met by FBI agents Monday after a passenger claimed he poisoned everyone on board.

Several hours into the flight, which was coming from Tokyo, a man stood up and stated he had poisoned the passengers, an FBI spokesman told media outlets.

Airline officials decided to stay on course to Newark rather than land immediately.

Authorities have not yet said what poison the man claimed he used, or how it could have been distributed throughout the plane.
