Former Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank (D) recently described appearing on Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor as a degrading experience.

Frank told HuffPost Live that Bill O’Reilly liked to think of himself as a “tough” guy, but the Fox News host was really a “total jerk” who controlled his guests’ microphones.

He said he didn’t like appearing on the show because of O’Reilly’s tendency to shout, scream and interrupt anyone he disagreed with.

O’Reilly “either rants and raves and interrupts you, or when he realizes he totally can’t make a case he changes the subject,” Frank said.
