Democrats have a new strategy to use against their Republicans opponents: Just let them speak.

The Democratic National Committee’s YouTube channel “DemRapidResponse” frequently uploads short campaign-style videos. Many of the videos are mash-ups of several clips about a particular topic, while other videos show Democrats speaking out about current trends.

Following the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the federal Defense of Marriage Act and California’s Proposition 8, the “DemRapidResponse” channel simply uploaded a more than 20 minute long Republican press conference. The video wasn’t even edited, with the exception of a five second introduction that flashed, “Grand Old Party, Same Old Party on marriage equality” across the screen.

The Defense of Marriage Act prohibited legally married same-sex couples from receiving federal marriage rights and protections, while Proposition 8 prohibited same-sex couples from getting married in California.

In the press conference, Republicans blasted the Supreme Court for ruling against both laws and voiced their opposition to marriage equality.
