A Pennsylvania man was arraigned Wednesday for allegedly dousing a 7-year-old boy with nail polish remover and then letting his son light the boy on fire.

Edward B. Myers, 35, of Saxonburg was dating the boy’s mother, according to local media reports.

The boy said Myers’ two sons, ages 15 and 11, began shooting him with pellet guns after his mother had left. Myers later threw something from the kitchen stove into the boy’s eyes and then dumped nail polish remover on him. He allegedly videotaped one of his sons lighting the boy on fire with his cell phone.

Once his mother returned, the boy was taken to the hospital. He suffered third-degree burns on his face and chest.

Myers was charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.

His 15-year-old son is also facing charges.
