Police in Seattle say they have arrested a sexual offender after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman during worship services at a church on Sunday.

Father Yuri Maev told KIRO that Aaron Little was sitting in St. Spiridon Russian Orthodox Cathedral at around 9:30 a.m. and lifted the skirt of a 25-year-old woman who was sitting in the row in front of him. The woman did not notice, but relatives who saw it happen took Little outside.

According to Seattle police, Little snuck back into the church through a side door and set next to the woman, where he lifted her skirt and groped her. Relatives again took Little outside and then notified the police.

KOMO reported that Little had been listed as a level two sex offender threat for a 2002 rape conviction in California.

Little was being held in the King County Jail without bail on a rape investigation charge.
