Six people were injured, including one child, after a house exploded and collapsed in South Philadelphia Monday morning, KNTV-TV reported.

Streets surrounding the collapsed house have been closed off by authorities, and six nearby homes were also evacuated. No cause has been identified for the blast.

WPVI-TV reported that a local hospital confirmed that it had admitted a toddler, a father and mother.

KNTV also reported that among the injured were a teenager and a local contractor working in the basement of the home. Residents told KNTV they smelled gas coming from the scene.

KYW-TV reported that another person is thought to be trapped on the second floor of the home.
