A 42-year-old Florida man faces seven counts of property damage while driving under the influence after causing three separate crashes before being caught early Saturday morning.
WFTV-TV reported on Sunday that John Aiello was apprehended by Marion County authorities after fleeing the scene of each collision.
According to the Ocala Star Banner that Aiello also refused to pull over when authorities spotted his 2005 Silverado pick-up truck following the crashes.
“Deputies had to box Mr. Aiello’s vehicle in to get him to stop,” his arrest report stated.
Aiello was taken to a local hospital, where he was found to be suffering the effects of an unknown drug. He is also being charged with seven counts of leaving the scene of an accident and one count of felony driving under the influence.
