Failed former Republican presidential candidate Alan Keyes told failed former Navy chaplain Gordon “Dr. Chaps” Klingenschmitt that the country’s best hope for survival was to elect a Congress solely dedicated to the impeachment of President Barack Obama.
“A third of the Senate is up [for re-election] in 2014, and the whole House is up,” Keyes told Klingenschmitt on his radio show. “And that means we have more than enough opportunity to get an impeachment and removal Congress if we will rally ’round that purpose, in order to bring the terrible threat that is posed by this Obama faction and its policies to an end.”
According to 270towin.com, 35 Senate seats will be contested in the 2014 elections. The Democratic party currently holds a 55-45 majority lead in that chamber of Congress, while Republicans hold a 233-201 edge in the House.
Keyes also told Klingenschmitt that voting in a pro-impeachment group of candidates would also “send a clear message to all of the elitist elements who think they can now overthrow our Constitution that the American people will not stand for it.”
In his most recent campaign for the presidency, Keyes garnered .28 percent of the Republican vote in 2008.
