Police arrested a South Carolina woman accused of stabbing her roommate over his music selection.

According to WCIV-TV, 54-year-old Vernett Bader got into an argument with the victim Monday night after he refused to turn off The Eagles.

The 64-year-old victim had been watching television with his brother and listening to the ubiquitous classic rock band’s music at the home he shared with his former girlfriend, according to The Post and Courier.

The victim said Bader told him she didn’t want to listen to the band’s music, so he told her to shut up. Police said Bader grabbed a 14-inch serrated bread knife and swung it repeatedly at her ex-partner, according to the TV station.

The victim managed to wrestle the knife away, but police said she came back with another knife before the man fled and locked himself in a bathroom.

The TV station reported that Bader was standing outside with another man when police arrived.

Bader told officers that she’d stabbed the victim because he had choked her, but police said they didn’t see any marks on her neck, and a neighbor also backed the victim’s account.

The North Charleston woman was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.

The police report did not specify which Eagles songs had been played before the dispute.
