A Houston woman said she became suspicious when strange men began coming to her home late at night and knocking on the door.
The woman’s boyfriend confronted one of the men, who showed him a Craigslist ad that listed “statement of desire for any men to come to her house for the purposes of sexual activity,” according to court documents.
The ad also featured the woman’s photo and her home address, reported KPRC-TV.
The woman told deputies she hadn’t posted the ad, but investigators said they were able to track the phone number and email address used to create the post to a former girlfriend of the victim’s boyfriend.
Authorities also said Samantha Weber held the account of the IP address associated with the Craigslist post.
Deputies also said Weber had emails from individuals who’d responded to the ad she’s accused of posting.
The 38-year-old Weber was charged with online impersonation, a third-degree felony.
