A well-known Colorado anti-LGBT activist asserted on Monday that same sex marriage was a ploy to get “access to children” and “recruit” them to be homosexuals.

Family Values Chairman Will Perkins told disgraced former Navy Chaplain Gordon James “Chaps” Klingenschmitt that he believed in “traditional marriage” because “God set up that combination for the propagation of the human race.”

“Homosexuality is an aberration, that is a deviation from the fact,” he explained. “And the deviation in this case, if homosexuality were the norm, you wouldn’t have the problem we’re discussing now because there would be no human race.”

“So, if homosexuality were normalized, people would not have children,” Klingenschmitt observed. “Because when a man mates with another man, he doesn’t get pregnant.”

“Yeah, that’s right. Homosexuality does not reproduce, it recruits,” Perkins continued. “And that’s why they’re so interested in marriage, for the access to children.”

Perkins said that the children were “the main reason” LGBT people wanted marriage rights.

“It isn’t for their welfare,” he opined. “It’s for their recruitment.”
