A 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged as an adult in connection with a shooting near a Pittsburgh high school that left three people injured, WTAE-TV reported Wednesday night.

Anjohnito Willet Jr. was taken into custody and charged with four counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangering another person. His arraignment is scheduled for Thursday morning. He is accused of shooting at a group of four other teenagers walking away from Brashear High School.

Pittsburgh Police spokesperson Lt. Kevin Kraus told WTAE authorities believe the suspect went to an intersection near the school specifically targeting the victims in retaliation for attacking him on campus on Oct. 18. Police described the attack as “drug-related,” saying it led to a week-long lockdown of the school. Willet reportedly withdrew from the school following the attack and had not returned as of Wednesday.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette identified the victims as 15-year-old DaJour Jones, 17-year-old Robert “Eugene” Minor and 17-year-old Andrew Umphrey. All three were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. A fourth person with the victims at the time of the shooting was uninjured.

The Post-Gazette quoted Kraus as saying Willet “declined to prosecute” following the attack, and that he “made remarks that he would take matters into his own account.”

Five other people were taken into questioning Wednesday afternoon, but were released without being charged. Authorities said a handgun recovered during the early stages of the investigation will be tested to determine if it was the one used in the attack.
