Bill Maher has had enough of “Boston strong.”

The talk show host said during Sunday’s broadcast of his HBO “Real Time” program that he thought it was time for the city to move on from its grieving over the April 15 Boston Marathon bombing.

Maher told his guest, disgraced former New York congressman and failed New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner, that he wasn’t particularly moved by the Boston Red Sox stopping their World Series championship parade and placing their trophy at the marathon’s finish line.

“So the Red Sox won the World Series, congratulations Red Sox,” Maher said. “So the parade, they go to the place where the marathon bombing took place, they put the World Series statue there and they sing ‘God Bless America’ and they say ‘Boston strong’ and they chant ‘U-S-A,’ you know. It was again, a bad day, three people died, that’s terrible. More were maimed, that’s horrible, but unfortunately that happens every day, in car accidents and everything else. I mean, your city was not leveled by Godzilla.”

Weiner begins wincing about halfway through Maher’s comments, which draw a muted laugh from the audience, and scolds him afterward.

“What’s wrong with you?” Weiner says. “It was a nice moment.”
