The Texas woman who allegedly tried to frame her husband by sending ricin-laced letters to President Barack Obama and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said through her attorney that she intends to plead guilty in the case.

According to the Associated Press, the attorney representing Shannon Guess Richardson said that she has agreed to plead guilty in a deal that would set a maximum sentence of 18 years in federal prison.

Lawyer Tonda Curry told reporters that final details of the deal have yet to be ironed out, but that her client is willing to admit to sending letters laced with the neurotoxin to Obama and Bloomberg as well as the head of a Bloomberg-directed gun control group.

“Shannon is anxious to admit her role in ordering the components to make the ricin, her role in the letters that contained the ricin, and to tell the government who else was involved in those offenses,” said Curry.

The mother of six was arrested June 7 after authorities investigated her then-husband Nathaniel Richardson in connection with the ricin letters, which contained threats along with the powdered poison like, “You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns. Anyone wants to come to my house will get shot in the face. The right to bear arms is my constitutional God given right and I will exercise that right till the day I die.” and “What’s in this letter is nothing compared to what I’ve got planned for you.”

Shannon Guess Richardson has played bit parts on TV shows “The Walking Dead” and “The Vampire Diaries.” Earlier this year, she insisted to authorities that Nathaniel Richardson forced her to send the poisoned letters to public officials. At the time of her arrest, the two were in the midst of getting divorced and arguing over custody of Nathaniel Richardson’s then-unborn child with the actress.
