The half-brother of golfer Tiger Woods has been accused of calling in a bomb threat to his workplace.

Earl Woods Jr. was arrested Thursday after police said he called the Arizona Department of Economic Security office in Phoenix.

Officers were called about 8:30 a.m. to investigate the call, which led to the evacuation of the building as police searched for the bomb.

No device was found, and police said the 58-year-old Woods admitted during the search that he’d made the call as a joke.

Investigators said Woods repeated his admission during a formal interview, and he was arrested on one count of using an electronic communication device to terrify, intimidate, threaten or harass, which is a misdemeanor.

Earl Woods Jr. is the eldest of the 37-year-old golfer’s two half-brothers and a half-sister but does not have a particularly close relationship to his youngest sibling.
