A California Highway Patrol (CHP) dispatcher is accused of helping her husband, a member of the Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang, evade authorities before the couple was arrested on Dec. 13.

KXTV-TV reported that 35-year-old Sarah Killough reportedly told undercover agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) that she used information she gleaned through her job to keep her husband, 42-year-old Dennis Killough, abreast of law enforcement movements against him and a fellow gang member.

The Woodland Daily Democrat reported that Sarah Killough faces charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale and bribery, while her husband, already a convicted felon, was charged with attempting to sell an assault weapon — reportedly an AR-15 “Bushmaster” rifle — transportation of methamphetamine for sale and being armed with a firearm during a controlled substance offense. A search of the club’s chapter in Vallejo, California, produced a firearm that allegedly belonged to Dennis Killough.

Sarah Killough, who started working for the CHP in Sept. 1999, reportedly left the agency days before being arrested. A CHP spokesperson suggested to KXTV she was not married at the time she was hired. She is due to appear in court on Thursday in Yolo County, where a judge will decide whether she is eligible for bail. Prosecutors have expressed concern that her access to public information and ties to the gang present threats to public safety.

Watch a report on the charges against the Killoughs, as aired on KTXL-TV on Wednesday, below.
