Conservative radio hosts Matt Barber (pictured) and Mat Staver reflected this week on the recent Duck Dynasty scandal and concluded that reality star Phil Robertson had taken the right course of action by not letting himself be “bullied” by the “Gaystapo.”

On an episode of the “Faith and Freedom” radio broadcast that is scheduled to air on Wednesday, Barber pointed out that Robertson had stood his ground against “paper tigers” in the Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and the Human Rights Campaign after he was suspended from his show for comparing LGBT people to terrorists.

“These big corporations and individuals in the entertainment industry and people grant these homofascist bullies – I call them the Gaystapo – they grant them this power that otherwise they would not have,” Barber said. “This tyranny of the minority has been taking place for too long now and Americans, when they stand up, when the double down and say ‘no, I’m not going to waiver from biblical truth on matters of human sexuality,’ it’s like okay, what are you going to do now? Nothing. They go away and lick their wounds.”

“It’s the rank and file people of America, the vast majority of people who do not support this homosexual agenda, do not support this homofascism,” Staver agreed. “So he’s not going to be bullied by anyone and I think the other thing is to not back down.”

He continued: “Some people, they get intimated, they don’t want to get involved in this fight and yet Phil Robertson stood there on principle, he stood there with love and he became a national hero to many people because he would not budge.”

“If you back down, if you give someone an inch – it’s almost like negotiating with terrorists – if you give them an inch, they’ll take a mile.”
