President Barack Obama and Fox News host Bill O’Reilly grew testy with one another in a 10-minute live interview aired Sunday ahead of the Super Bowl.

Things began tense and remained so throughout, with O’Reilly asking Obama if telling Americans that they could keep their insurance if they liked it — Politifact’s Lie of the Year — was the biggest mistake of his presidency.

“OK, Bill, you’ve got a long list of my mistakes,” Obama replied, referring later to “boneheaded decisions” by him and his staff.

The two went back and forth over the Benghazi attack and the IRS scandals of 2012 and 2013, with Obama taking Fox News to task for keeping conspiracies afloat without cause.

“They believe it because folks like you are telling them that,” Obama said. “These kinds of things keep on surfacing in part because you and your TV station will promote them,” he said.
