A Pennsylvania man is on the run after trying to shoot his brother during a fight over the weekend, and accidentally hitting his sibling’s girlfriend instead.

WPVI reported that the two men had a fistfight at their mother’s house on Sunday. Following the fight, the younger 28-year-old brother went to his girlfriend’s house, according to WCAU.

The older 33-year-old brother showed up at the girlfriend’s home a short time later and reportedly opened fire as the couple was sitting on the front porch. Instead of hitting his 28-year-old brother, the older brother shot the girlfriend three times, police said.

She was said to be in stable condition after being taken to Temple University Hospital.

The older brother fled the scene after the shooting, according to police. Authorities said that he had been recently released from prison.
