An Arkansas man said he’s sympathetic to a teacher he said accidentally showed a homemade sex tape to her class, but he thinks she should be held accountable.

Nicholas Tolerson said his seventh-grade son told him the teacher showed a sex video of herself Wednesday during a class at Forest Heights Middle School.

“(My son) says she was performing sex acts,” Tolerson told KARK-TV.

School officials said the teacher, whose name has not been released, admitted she showed an inappropriate video to students after it got mixed up in her lesson plans.

But school officials stressed the incident was just a mistake.

Tolerson said the teacher called him after school to explain what happened and admitted the video showed her and her fiancé.

“She was apologetic,” said Tolerson.

He feels bad for the teacher, but Tolerson said she had upset her students.

“My heart goes out to not only my son, but other kids in the classroom,” said Tolerson.

School officials said they are working to determine the appropriate discipline for the teacher’s actions.
