A Russian state television host asserted recently that the Jewish people brought the Holocaust on themselves, and were hastening a second holocaust by supporting the Ukraine government instead of Russia.

In a YouTube clip uploaded on Sunday, a guest explains to Russia 24 presenter Evelyn Zakamskaya why Jews should not support the Ukraine government.

“It is strange that Jewish organizations – European and Russian – support Maidan,” the guest says, according to a translation provided by AmericaBlog. “They do not realize that they are, with their own hands, closer to the second Holocaust.”

“They also advanced the first [Holocaust],” Zakamskaya declares.

“It’s dreadful, it is astonishing blindness — which, apparently, is repeated, because until 1933 in Europe many liberal organizations were feeding Hitler,” the guest opines.

“Yes,” Zakamskaya agees.

President Vladimir Putin has claimed that his occupation of Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula was driven by concerns of anti-Semitism. But U.S. officials said that his claims were not a “not a true reflection of what’s going on the ground.”

The truth is that most European governments include some factions of neo-Nazi groups. And Ukraine’s far-right Svoboda party only received 10 percent of the vote.
