A Utah woman has been arrested after police searched her garage and discovered the bodies of six dead babies stashed in cardboard boxes.

Megan Huntsman, 39, of Pleasant Grove, UT., was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of six counts of murder, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

Police made the grisly discovery after a call from Huntsman’s former husband after he discovered the body of a full term baby in a suspicious looking  box while cleaning out the garage in preparation to move back in.

Megan Huntsman reportedly moved out of the home in 2011.

According to police Capt. Michael Roberts, a search warrant for the home was obtained and officers discovered  six more babies packaged in separate cardboard boxes inside the garage.

Investigators believe that Huntsman gave birth to the infants, then killed them, over a 10 year period.

The home is owned by the parents of Huntsman’s ex-husband, and Huntsman’s three daughters, ages 13, 18, and 20 still live there.

The babies are believed to have been fathered by Huntsman’s ex-husband, however police are awaiting DNA tests for confirmation.

Police are not pursuing charges against the ex-husband at this time, Roberts said.
