US President Barack Obama’s campaign guru David Axelrod arrives in London to meet with Labour leader Ed Miliband later Thursday in a bid to kickstart the party’s stuttering general election campaign.

Labour announced last month it had secured the services of the man behind Obama’s 2008 and 2012 election victories, but recent polls reveal he will have a lot of work to do with the party falling behind the Conservatives for the first time in two years.

According to reports, Axelrod will focus on making over Miliband’s image.

The American will visit party headquarters and attend a meeting of the shadow cabinet.
