Civil rights leader Shuttlesworth dies
BIRMINGHAM, Ala (Reuters) – The Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth, a major leader in the civil rights movement who was beaten, bombed and injured by fire hoses, died in Birmingham, Alabama on Wednesday at age 89.
