I do like Michael Moore, and if this raid had happened as described, his position is the one I would take.

Eyewitnesses who were interviewed on Pakistani TV the night of the raid said the following (and you can find the translated YouTube interview):

1.       There were 3 helicopters in the raid, only 1 helicopter landed.
2.       After about 10 minutes, troops stormed out of the compound and boarded the one helicopter that landed.
3.       Upon takeoff, the helicopter crashed and burst into flames killing all on board.
4.       No body (Osama Bin Laden) was carried to the helicopter by the troops leaving the compound, even if they did carry a corpse, it was destroyed in the crash.
5.       Throw on top that many people who knew about the Pakistani TV interview fully expected the U.S. military to come up with a cover story for all the dead SEALs in the helicopter, and what happened last month under a cloud of suspicion and WTF type questions????  All the Navy SEALs in the OBL raid just magically and coincidentally died in another helicopter crash that made little sense (since SEALs do not fly 30 troops deep in Chinooks).  HOW CONVIENIENT!  It is the Pat Tillman Story all over again.

Now, lets look at some other holes in the official story (forgetting the numerous claims by intelligence services around the globe that OLB has been dead / killed at least 9 different times and all the Manfrans Syndrome/ liver problems).  The U.S. government claimed to have DNA evidence this was OBL about 4 hours after the raid.  How is this possible?  Navy SEALs extracted a body from a hostile LZ, extracted DNA and managed to have a mobile DNA lab somewhere close by to return DNA within hours?  It take 5 to 7 days to get simple paternity tests results from a genetics lab (I know, I called several to confirm).
There has been conclusive evidence that the photos shown of OBL watching TV in his “command center” is not him.  The ears along with several other unique identifiers did not match.  A person’s ears are like fingerprints.  Also, I am sure there is no suspicion over the fact that no picture of a body was ever shown or confirmed by a single independent analyst, and the government changed its stories numerous times as to why the body had to be dumped in the ocean so quickly.

Love Michael Moore, but it is interesting to me why he never concludes that the government is involved in something a little bigger than he is letting on.  Fahrenheit 9-11 is a classic example.  Makes all excellent points about the hidden agendas and motives as well as documenting some of the really big lies, but for some reason there is a disconnect with him (and many people) to make the next logical assumption which is that there are secret proceedings and designs that orchestrate much of world events.  It is not a logical disconnect to say, “hey Federal government, I caught you in all these lies and distortions, perhaps you are involved in some sort of conspiracy or cover up.”

The fact remains, “conspiracy theory” is a slide world and poor word association.  It is a conditioning technique to use these words in sequence.  In reality, many so-called “conspiracy theories” are actually just conspiracies (which happen all the time).  Nothing theoretical about it.

In reference to the OBL raid in May, all the theory is in the story presented by the Federal government.  No evidence has ever been provided or verified to support the official story.

The US Justice dept and the Republicans who cower in fear from Islamist terrorists, are the unAmericans.  We should bring these terror-criminals to trial, in New York or some other US city.  This is important to show the other sociopath Muslims who have been fed a pile of crap to turn their anger at the West, that we are NOT afraid of their criminal activitiest and their mentally-ill zeal for killing innocent people.  To hide from these sociopaths is to give them power.  By throwing their leaders and fellow criminals in front of an American jury would freak them out.  These crazy brainwashed Arabs are not that much different than the kooks in the Manson commune who killed Sharon Tate.  We did not shrink in fear from Manson and Squeaky Fromme!

Even the military admits they lost a helicopter in a raid which was supported by Pakistani witnesses.  So a helicopter crashes and burns but there are no injuries?????

You need to do more research or provide me something other than a press release by the Federal government suspected of lying about this as proof.

Obama was in a bind.  He had to eliminate Bin Laden, whether myth or real, because a year from now he would be taunting him in the middle of the election.  His tapes have always tended to drive people to the Republicans and in this case it would be even more so.   Obama couldn’t put him on trial because a lot of things that they don’t want talked about would have been presented, like: what role did he really play in 9/11 and was he really the person in all those tapes.  I am surprised, though, that they didn’t at least pretend that they intended to put him on trial.  Maybe the image of him cowering behind a woman was too good to pass up.

Actually Osama declared shortly after 9/11 that he had NOTHING to do with the attack.  The video of him released several months later was proven to be a hoax.  Even the FBI dropped Osama Bin Laden off their terror list, because it couldn’t be proven that he had committed terrorism.

I think most people would have approved of a hit on Hitler. OBL was being sheltered by the Pakistanis, without a chance to extradite him while he continued to be a threat to American lives. Moreover, a strike against a terrorist leader is less destructive than committing thousands of troops.

The downside of taking him into custody would be that his friends would kidnap Americans and demand a prisoner swap.

A trial of OBL would not require a broad inquiry since there is video tape of him admitting the attack. A new York jury would take about 20 minutes to convict him and another 20 to impose a death sentence.

Osama certainly took credit for it, after the fact. Why wouldn’t he?

Obama chose to murder (assassinate?) Osama for political reasons – nothing more. Why we as citizens might not want this is because we now have no information (except for what has been provided by the government) for what his actual involvement in the conspiracy was. I played that interview through clenched teeth because the sound and logic of Hasselbeck is like being locked in a room with Bachmann, Palin, Shlaffley, O’Donnell and Angle all talking at once. I would much rather have seen bin Laden brought to trial in US, the place of the crime, and the evidence brought forth, weighed by a jury and if found guilty, sentanced. Imagine the gravitas we would have had with the world had we put Bin Laden on trial. We missed a great opportunity there. We miss them all the time.
