More than 100 retired generals and admirals released a statement calling for the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell," according to CNN's Jamie McIntyre. The retired military brass want gays to be able to serve openly in the military.

Barack Obama supports the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell" but is not expected to move quickly to end the policy.
