Woman who partied with Matt Gaetz said there was money for sex — but she won't say with who: report
April 14, 2021
When Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said that he didn't care for the "puritanical" life, he wasn't kidding. As the stories continue to come out, CNN added to the pile, doing their own interviews with at least two of the women who partied with Gaetz. Some of the women have already been interviewed by the Justice Department, but there are others who haven't.
"He behaved like a 'frat type of party boy,' she said, sometimes taking pills she believed were recreational drugs," said one of the women. Until now, the parties haven't been explored by those talking about the Gaetz life.
"The behavior of Gaetz and the other high-powered men at the events, and a pattern of digital payments that followed, will likely be items of interest to the Justice Department as part of its probe of Gaetz that includes allegations of sex trafficking and prostitution," said CNN.
There is one investigation into whether Gaetz brought an escort across state lines, and CNN reviewed the receipts from 2018 and 2019 for payments. There was one payment that covered "travel" according to the description.
One of the women who spoke to CNN said that Gaetz friend, Joel Greenberg gave the girls money. Some of the payments were for providing sex, said the report. "But [she] would not say who she slept with." She said she never got money directly from Gaetz.
Other parties were small gatherings in hotel suites after drunken political functions.
"No one ever wants to stop partying, stop drinking, once you've had a few glasses of champagne in you," she told CNN.
Gaetz denies all allegations and said that the Bill Barr Justice Department twisted his generosity toward the girls.

Seth Meyers mocks Cruz, Hawley and Lee for suddenly caring about corporations after giving them $2T tax break
April 14, 2021
"Late Night" host Seth Meyers went after Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Josh Hawley (R-MO), and Mike Lee (R-UT) for their decision to cancel free speech for corporations that anger them.
"Yeah, sure, Republicans are totally having their eyes opened to dangerous corporations after they shoveled $2 trillion in tax cuts into the pockets of corporations like Amazon, which, by the way, paid zero in federal income taxes in 2018, thanks in part to the GOP tax cut," said Meyers.
He said that the GOP likes to punish corporations like a dad angry about finding their kids smoking. "Oh, you're smoking Dad's cigarettes. Well, maybe you'd also like a glass of scotch and a nice steak too. You would? And how do you like it cooked? Hold on, I'm going to write this down so I don't get it wrong. Pink in the middle. Ok, I'll have that for you in one minute. Can I get you some bread while you wait and learn your lesson!?"
Meyers explained that it's clear Hawley, Cruz and Lee are "bullsh*t" because Democrats have actually taken on corporations using the Commercial Financial Protection Bureau to fight predatory corporate practices.
Now that President Joe Biden is proposing an infrastructure plan that would pay for itself by raising the corporate tax rate to 28 percent, maybe Cruz, Hawley, and Lee will get behind it as a way to punish the corporations for things they don't like.
Meyers went on to blast the Republicans for being the same guys who pretended to oppose "endless wars" when former President Donald Trump was in office. Now that Biden wants to bring troops home from Afghanistan, it's a whole different thing.

President Joe Biden will be implementing sanctions against Russia. Biden spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin Tuesday, in what was reported to be a "tense" conversation.
Bloomberg News reported that among the things in the sanctions plan are that diplomats must leave the United States by the end of the day Thursday.
"The U.S. plans to sanction about a dozen individuals, including government and intelligence officials, and roughly 20 entities, according to one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the matter was sensitive," said the Bloomberg report. "The U.S. is also expected to expel as many as 10 Russian officials and diplomats from the country, the person said."
The reason cited is the Solar Winds hack and intrusion in the election. Meanwhile, there is a line of Russian troops along the border of Ukraine, as part of the aggression against the country.
